Update SRWare?
Re: Update SRWare?
No, just run the installer; be sure to back up your adblock.ini because the installer will put a blank copy in its place.CsCl wrote:How does one update an older version of SR..........by uninstalling & re installing a newer one??

Re: Update SRWare?
doesn't it automatically update the software. when you're online
Re: Update SRWare?
No, it doesn't. You need to download and install each new update.Nirose wrote:doesn't it automatically update the software. when you're online
Re: Update SRWare?
Iron is a privacy-focused browser. It would be strange if the software was constantly "calling home" (as Chrome does) to determine whether there is any updateNirose wrote:doesn't it automatically update the software. when you're online

Re: Update SRWare?
But it wouldn't be so bad if iron had a button "Check for updates", right?

Re: Update SRWare?
I personally hope the developers don't take this seriously.
The best way to know if there are updates to any OS is to check these forums. The SRWare folks are pretty damned good at keeping the 'updates' in the threads for the individual OS's(Windows, Linux, Mac).

Less time stalking the forums and more time being updated on whatever is necessary.
Re: Update SRWare?
Why it's replaced?! This would be a bug, not a "feature".arflech wrote:be sure to back up your adblock.ini because the installer will put a blank copy in its place.
