Why does SRWare Iron keep freezing when I open new tabs?

Hey all, I'm pretty new to SRWare Iron and been loving it so far, but I’ve hit a snag. Every time I try to open more than 3 or 4 tabs, the browser just freezes up for like 20-30 seconds. Sometimes it comes back, sometimes I gotta force quit. I’m running it on an older Windows 10 laptop with 8GB RAM—could that be the issue? Already tried clearing the cache and disabling extensions, but no luck. Anyone else had this happen or got tips to fix it? Thanks!

8GB RAM should generally be enough, but older hardware or a lot of background processes could cause slowdowns.

You can disable hardware acceleration, background tabs. Task manager monitoring is necessary. Try running in administrator mode. If all else fails I recommend switching to a lighter browser to be on the safe side.

I’ve had similar freezes on my old Windows 10 machine too. Iron seems lighter than Chrome, but it still struggles with too many tabs on older hardware.
