This browser looks very, very promising. Open-source, the speed of Chrome, extensions, and privacy...couldn't ask for more. However, I have yet to run it! Right now I've got an Eeebuntu 4 Beta OS, and before downloading Iron I tried out ChromePlus and ran it, importing stuff from Firefox and everything. I wanted to try something else, so I deleted the containing folder and went with this program. I unpacked the zipped file into my /opt folder, double-clicked the executable iron file located within the /opt/iron-linux folder, and nothing happens. Can someone please explain to me what is going on here?

I don't see the /opt directory. I'm running 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx, x64.

I created a new on in the same directory with iron, then created the UA.ini file in that new /opt folder, but Iron doesn't see it. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have problem with running iron on the GNU/Linux system (openSUSE 11.3) because dependency hell. It will be very fine to publish static linked version for GNU/Linux users.

By the way, where is the iron source code?
