Don't know if this helps but, What you can try to do is make a text file with the shortcut above inside it and then change the extension to .BAT then create a new shortcut to that bat file. Then go into the properties of the shortcut and/or bat file and change it so it runs minimized.usikpa wrote:Is this version good ONLY with Windows Vista or higher?
I'm running my laptop on Windows XP with the screen set to 120 DPI. No Direct Write, obviously. So, I understand that I'm destined to have an issue with the way that fonts are rendered, am I right?
I'm currently running Iron with the following command line
"C:\Program Files\SRWare Iron\chrome.exe" --ppapi-flash-path="C:\Program Files\SRWare Iron\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll" --ppapi-flash-version=15.0.0.152 /high-dpi-support=1 /force-device-scale-factor=1
... the reason being that I do not know how else to avoid flash crashes on most sites and keep the font rendering the way I like. Now, I read elsewhere that the solution with the fonts might be some .css script file (?) but I'm not sure how this could be done. Anyone?
Running Iron via a command line is a hassle, as I set it as the default browser!
Where did you get that peper flash version by the way ?
Re: New Iron-Version: 38.0.2050.0 Stable for Windows
for the sync- just run the activate sync utility in the srware Iron program files folder.
works for me, even in the portable version.
What does not work for me is:
Spotify web player - crashes after few seconds, even with newest flash (normal and even sugested 15 beta)
and google spreadsheets crashes as well
no web links in windows aplications, including shortcuts do not work - and that is a deal breaker -I had to set the system handlers (http and https to use chrome instead until this is resolved)
and the new tab tabs are rather small (I have to use 150% even if it was fine on v30) and I use a normal resolution monitor, not some detailed one

I grabbed mine (manifest.json, pepflashplayer.dll and put them both into a PepperFlash folder) from an extracted Chrome64Portable versionbugman wrote:usikpa wrote:Where did you get that peper flash version by the way ?

What version of chrome are you using? I incorporated the necessary changes into the Registry, using the original script from here.
The Pepper Flash dll library is easily extractable from the Chrome standalone setup file.
Re: Iron 64-bit Flash Crasher
No, portable 64-bit also is a flash crasher on http://www.speedtest.net/ and on many other sites. The last two versions of 64-bit iron have consistently had this problem When will it be fixed?

Iron 38.0.2050.0 (295000) (64-bit), PepperFlash version 15.0.0.189 64bit (extracted from portable Chrome 38.0.2125.111), all works fine.Iron_u5er wrote:zeon wrote:It works fine to me (Iron portable 64bit with pepperflash 15.0.0.189 version).vcrpro wrote:Cannot use Iron 64-bit.
