Jesus you noobs.. You don't need software. Run as administrator and then in settings, choose set as default.

Jesus you Heretikos, other browsers don't need administrator permission to set as default per user. Why does Iron need this special requirement?

Is there a solution that actually works for Xubuntu (11.04) ??? I tried "Preferred Applications" and Iron doesn't even appear in the list. I have no idea what obscure name it is installled as - can't find it under "Iron", "SRWare", "Chromium"..... how difficult does this need to be??? Shit like this makes Windoze look good. Uber Linux Geeks - keep your snide remarks to yourself; just an answer please.

I tried to set it with update-alternatives but it says that it's not registered.
In the settings there is only Firefox.
