Will the new Mac Pro be released without M2 Extreme CPU?

For a long time there have been guesswork that Apple for its new Mac Pro A variant with M2-Extreme CPU with 48 CPU cores and 152 GPU cores. According to the latest rumors, this variant will not appear.

The configuration would have been a double M2 Ultra. A too high complexity as well as a potential cost explosion has probably nailed these plans.

The "normal" M2 Ultra Chip supports up to 24 CPU cores, 76 GPU cores and up to 192 GB Unified Ram. Although this should be enough for most people, 192 GB RAM is still significantly less than the 1.5 TB RAM supported by the current generation in 2019.
