From October 2021, private customers can buy Office 2021

On 16 September, Microsoft released a purchase version of the popular office software package Office 2021 for Entrepreneurs. In addition, there is a so-called long-term service channel version. This is also intended for business customers for whom it is important that the version does not change over a longer period of time. This Office version is not supplied with new features from the network. Support is for five years.

For private customers, a purchase version of Office 2021 will be released on 5 October 2021. Presumably, this version will have a dark mode. Users can change the interface so that it is no longer white but grey. Another interesting feature is that it is possible to scroll through the text line by line. This is to avoid distractions. For Excel, there is the XLookup function, which makes it easier to find places within a table.

Nothing is known about the price at the moment. It is likely to be at the same level as the previous version. Microsoft did announce a price increase for the subscription model for March 2022, but this only applies to business customers.
