Unable to install Flash Player on Iron 23

Hello,
What could be the cause of not being able to install Flash Player ?
Since a few days (don't remember what I did before it happened, was it an Iron update or something else), Iron cannot display Flash contents. I have the "Adobe Flash Player is required to display some elements on this page [Install plugin]" bar. Of course I installed the plugin as suggested, restarted the browser, logged off, rebooted, but still no Flash content.
I even uninstalled Iron, removed my C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\Chromium\User Data folder, and re-installed Iron. To no avail.
Flash does not appear on chrome://plugins/ page but it works on FireFox and Chrome (this one does not count as it is using its internal flash player).
What else can I try ? Why this plugin does not work anymore ?
I'm not ready to re-install my Windows 7 64 bit to fix this problem. I'd rather swith to FireFox, but I prefer Iron.
Thanks for helping.

you could try flash player 32 bit and then another try with flash player 64 bit
to try 32 / 64 bit flash player you must use for example first firefox 32 bit and then firefox 64 bit
(first better uninstall your flash player)

Thanks for the idea. However I won't try to mess with the unsupported 64 bit version of FireFox. I'm trying to solve a problem, not to add more...
We are not supposed to do that in order to get Flash running in Iron, are we ?
When I go to chrome://flash it says Flash Plugin is disabled. It that the PepperPlayer that is not included in Iron ?

The main question is: Why FireFox does detect the installed plugin and Iron does not ?

The problem seems to be in the 23.0.1300.0 version.
I tried to revert to Iron 22.0.1.250.0. Flash and many other plugins are listed in chrome://plugins page
Installing v 23 on top of 22 or after an uninstallation does not change anything, the result is: the plugins list is very smaller and does not include Flash.
So, for me there is a problem. Either there is a setting somewhere that breaks plugins loading and that should be made clear when installing or there is a bug (possibly also in Chrome) and it should be corrected.
Do Iron developers monitor the forum ? Should I submit a bug report somewhere ?

SOLUTION found.
The bug seems to be in Chromium and is related to a Java plugin. Until the version 24 is available with a fix, a workaround is to prevent loading this plugin.
This
thread gives the solution to rename the path of the DLL in the registry at
HKLM\Software\MozillaPlugins\@java.com\DTPlugin
This didn't fix the problem for me (and others as seen on forums) as I don't have this exact key (Windows 7 64 bit). So you may also want to look at this key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MozillaPlugins\@java.com/DTPlugin,version=10.7.2
Rename the Path to something like npDeployJava1_DISABLED.dll
Chrome and Iron are now loading all the missing plugins, including Flash. YEAH !!!!

Hey, just joined the forums to say thanks for the info and that, as it appeared to be a Java problem, I updated from 1.7.0.7 to 1.7.0.10 and it solved the issue without any other tinkering.
Cheers!

Thank you,
pyhair! Your solution with registry helped.
You saved me from moving back to slow Firefox

I also had to update to Java 1.7.0.10 for other reasons. That broke Flash in Iron again but my fix successfully went to the rescue.
I finally completely removed Java, but that's another story.

I am having this same flash issue, could you walk me through on how to do the fix you suggested.
