Since updating to the latest Windows version I can't play any Netflix titles. Other stuff like Youtube works fine. The Netflix error that I get can refer to an outdated browser although Netflix's errors aren't exactly explanatory nor well explained. The error code is M7121-1331.

If I run Chrome-Edge, it works, but that reports as version 112.x.

Anyone else had this? Any fix?

Not at the moment, it has also stopped working in older version. It's coming from Netflix

I'm having the same issue

I tried to:

• use older version v110

• delete cache

• disable all plugins

• delete profile

• verify if DRM content playback is enabled

Nothing helps, looks like Iron is banned/not supported.

Strange. I'm using the current Iron v111 for Linux, and I'm in the middle of watching NetFlix as I type this.

Iron has often been more trouble-free for a lot of things than many other Chromium-based 'clones', in MY experience. Perhaps I'm just lucky.....or perhaps this is a Windows thing.

Maybe linux version is introducing different than Window - for example like Chrome. No idea anyway it stopped working and seems it's not related to Iron because I tested also older version which was working properly and problem persists.

Looks like Chrome and MS Edge are now version 112. I'm guessing the Netflix error is a variation on "your browser is out of date" or maybe there's some new function in chrome 112 which Netflix is using.

Either way, I can't watch Netflix except by running Edge, which I dislike, although since it's chromium based it's less obnoxious.

Past experience leads me to think there's no point raising the issue with Netflix.

It is not depended on the version and it affects other browsers (beyond the major ones), too:

Having contacted Netflix, it appears that Iron is not supported. I could get no real sense about how that might be resolved, but I requested that it be reported as an issue. Doubtless nothing will happen

Nah. Not really.

They'll tell you Chrome is supported. Fair comment; it's the most widely-used browser in the world. So; if Chrome is supported, then that means Chromium is supported; Chrome is but a 'clone' of the Chromium Project's source code.....it is, after all, where Google obtain the source code for Chrome from. They just add a few proprietary bits'n'bobs - none of which would affect DRM decode/playback - then re-badge it as their own browser, Chrome.

If Chromium itself is supported, then this means that all the derivatives - the other 'clones', as I call them! - are also supported. Iron; Slimjet; Brave; M$ Edge; Maxthon; Yandex.....etc., etc.

I created this a few years ago, to demonstrate the situation on Linux. The only thing that's changed is that 32-bit versions of most aren't built anymore:-
