Hello Guys,

First of all, excuse me for my bad english.

I think about it night and day, I need a final answer of what was there first. Chicken or egg? :?:

I think that If we go by gods creation of animals on the second day (I think) the chicken must have been the first. Buut I am open to new views on this topic, let me see your way of thinking.

Greets!

i realize this is quite an old post but the answer is the egg.

before the second day there was the cosmic egg which gave birth to everything else.

to us, yes, god always was, as god must. but that doesn't mean that to god, god always was.

the egg super-cedes everything. as it always must.
were you a human before you were an egg; fertilized to become an embryo?

as above so below, the microcosm is a reflection of the macrocosm.

to be clear, the question is not "which came first, the chicken or the chicken's egg? "
the question is "which came first the chicken or the egg?"

Honestly, I think the egg came first. If you go back far enough in evolution, birds were laying eggs long before chickens even existed. At some point, a bird that was pretty close to a chicken probably laid an egg, and that’s how the first chicken came about. It’s like those gradual changes over time — I’ve always found the whole idea of evolution fascinating, especially how small changes can lead to something totally new.

@jroliveira64 Conversely if a bird that was close to a chicken laid an egg, then that bird would have come from an egg, so the question reverts to that bird, however then as evolution shows via DNA studies some birds descended from Dinosaurs and Dinosaurs laid eggs, then the question pretty much becomes: What was there first, the Dinosaur or the Egg?
