I have Chromium browser installed and just installed Iron. I like Iron and will be using it quite a bit.
I pinned the Iron icon to my taskbar and it shows up with the blue swath over the lighter blue circle just like the icon shows on the desktop. However, when I launch it, it shows as the Chromium different color of blue circle.
I attached a screenshot that shows I'm in the Iron browser, but it's showing as the Chromium circle.

No comment from anyone? Support?

You can clear this cache which may help with icon related issues as Windows stores icons in cache. I think so.Block Blast

This is a common icon caching issue. Windows might be holding onto the Chromium icon. Try clearing your icon cache, or unpinning and re-pinning the Iron icon after a system restart. This often forces Windows to refresh the icon association. block blast
