ubuntu problem

Hey!
I have lastest ubuntu 10.10 with latest updates and latest build for iron, but everytime i get this warning popup like this:
"Your preferences can not be read.
Some features may be unavailable and changes to preferences won't be saved."
It's written 2 times, but closes from button. but iron forgets my settings all the time, so how do i fix this?
