I have problem running the command line as follows:
Code: Select all
"C:\Program Files\SRWare Iron\iron.exe" --ppapi-flash-path="C:\Program Files\SRWare Iron\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll" --ppapi-flash-version=14.0.0.125
It wouldn't simply start. Instead, I launch the app by:
Code: Select all
"C:\Program Files\SRWare Iron\chrome.exe" --ppapi-flash-path="C:\Program Files\SRWare Iron\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll" --ppapi-flash-version=14.0.0.125
This way, though, I get constant ERROR in the debug.log
Code: Select all
Could not find exported function RelaunchChromeBrowserWithNewCommandLineIfNeeded
and multiple Local State~XXXXXXX.TMP files in the user directory.
Is there any way to
iron these out? Thanks

Very disappointing. Updated from 31.0.1700.0 (236000) to 35.0.1900.0 due to problem trying to use Pocket. Got all my extensions wiped out. Reinstalling old version not possible because of profile wipeout with new install.
There should have had a warning!!
Also, tried to install Read it Later (probably not the real Pocket) from the extensions pages and got a not found message.
I realize that these problems are probably due to Google, where updates are now more commonly downgrades, but again, there should have been some warning about the mess that would be created by the latest SRWare Iron install.
SRWare Iron is now effectively a bare bones browser.

Update and correction:
Apparently I still have Pocket, off the drop-down "Extensions" menu but not an icon in one of the page bars. So I can view the saved Pocket pages but can't add any more. Also, other extensions do seem to have been lost. Maybe I'm just missing how to put a Pocket icon on a page bar.

OK. Another update. The link off the SRWare Iron Tools/Extensions menu to:
http://www.chrome-plugins.info/category ... s?hl=en-US
Is a waste.
Users should go to:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions
Still doesn't make up for wiping out existing addons and extensions with the software update.

I have only 2 problems with this version;
-360p only on yt, but that can be easily solved by using ua.ini
and
-iron notifications - i want to get rid of it, I disable it in settings and tried via about:flags but can't, please help
Other than that, good job and thanks.

I noticed this issue when enabling the advanced profiles option in chrome flags.
My google avatar shows up fine for the profile in a normal window but in settings it doesn't display correctly.

The unsafe script load option also still doesn't work

There are so many issues that still haven't been resolved i hope that the admin (agent) can make a list of them and put them up somewhere on the site :-/
