Finally global shortcuts for extension actions!
Also, I know its a long ways away but I have a feature request on top of implementing the code above I would also like to see a way to stop meta refresh in the next version. It drives me crazy that there is currently absolutely no way of doing this without turning off JS completely.

you could use privoxy or proxomitron and set a filter to remove the meta refresh header

Did you use privacy.ini?

It seems I can't rearrange the page tiles on the "New Tab" page any more.
Did this change intentionally?
Anyone else have this problem?

a 64 bit version for a web browser would do little good. the biggest factor in a browsers speed is the speed of your ram, IE Latency.
Play around you might be able to tighten your ram settings.
