i noticed that (after using the auto-updater of Scream81) the Opera version has a section:
[prefs]
prioritize includelist=1
[include]
[exclude]
Who knows if the [include] feature works with SRWare Iron? It would be perfect to allow some entries in urlfilter.ini in the "private part"of the autoupdater of ablock.ini by Scream81.

It doesn't work with iron. You can ignore it, Iron does.PietO wrote:i noticed that (after using the auto-updater of Scream81) the Opera version has a section:

Crap! I hit the submit button instead of Preview!
If you go through the script by Scream, you will see it includes scripting for a 'myfilter.txt' file that the script will look to add your own personal blocking list to the completed adblock.ini file.
You will need to create a 'myfilter.txt' in the correct path that has your blocks in it. For the short time, put "" in the 'myfilter.txt' file. That tells the script there isn't anything to add to the adblock.ini file.
PLEASE, save a copy of it! As Iron will overwrite most things in it's install folder the next time you update Iron to another version.

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
Ironuser,
thanks for your reply. I'm still looking for an option to "disable" centain lines from the default list downloaded from Fanboy. Adding is already supported as you pointed out (see also my request in the thread update adblock.ini).

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
mess around in the 'myfilter.txt file, and put a # sign in front of a link you want to 'disable'.
The # sign is a comment, and if I remember right the script ignores what is after it.
So, add a site that you want 'ignored' to 'myfilterr.txt', then run the Scream81 script.
Now open the adblcok.ini file, and see if it actually put that line in, or just added it to what is already there.
If it doesn't overwrite, it didn't work. No real loss at this point. It's just one site. Delete it from your myfilter.txt file.

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
I didn't try it, but you could use the | Operastuff destination, "#", "# " | code.
for # put in the link you want to take out, and for the second part put in the same link with # in front.
should look like this :

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
Is anyone else having problems accessing Fanboy's site? it seems to be down!

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
Yes! It has been down for several days now. The last update I got in Adblock PLus for Firefox was 12.07.2010, and the scripts I use for updating Iron's adblock.ini quit working about the same time. I have sent him an email on wednsday, but have not heard back yet
Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
I've got the same problem here. The last time was: 7 Dec 2010. I make update each day.HypnoToad wrote:Is anyone else having problems accessing Fanboy's site? it seems to be down!
