Adding the start command parameter "--user-data-dir=YOUR_DIR_OF_CHOICE" (without quotes) one can easily specify the user data directory (application data folder). So one can easily bypass the default, which is actually a big "plus" (on all platforms) in my opinion.

Chrome uses this curious behavior to bypass system permissions - we don't.
