I am still unsure whether we're on the same wavelenght. It's the "Ask me" option (radiobutton) that's missing. My Iron 7 ONLY allows me to either block or allow everything. I too prefer "ask me", that's why this is such a big issue for me. With none of the two cookie options given by Iron 7 I get a dialogue pop-up.
When I choose for "Block everything" however, I do get the cookie-with-red-cross icon to the right of the URL-bar. I can click on there to open a dialogue and manage site-specific cookies.. This works, I suppose, but it's not very intuitive compared to the old ways.

Yes I got there eventually
See my last two post (which you will not have seen until this forum allowed them - its like really bad international telephone call delay here)
And understand the concern now. If for example you want nice site to set lso's temporarily, but block completely bad site with evercookie zombies - there seems to be no control now.

Can I put that command line argument in ironportable.ini?
How do I know if I'm running with GPU acceleration enabled, and, are there any visual differences between accelerated and non-accelerated mode?

Try to open this page
http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Perfo ... fault.html with and without the acceleration option. You may also open some page suitable for acceleration and then press Shift-Esc to see Iron tasks. You should see "GPU Process" on the list.

Why not publish a fix post that explains how to upgrade Iron without losing data (password, Extensions can not be exported from Chrome, etc.) ?
Thx.

Here you go, a search would have helped:

Actually the Fish page
should work but it does not for some reason (at least in my case). Iron does not seem to involve GPU for rendering. You may try the other demo page which for sure uses GPU (if enabled):
http://www.chromium.org/developers/demo ... -and-webgl . Keep in mind that you need to add another switch "--enable-webgl" before you open these pages.

I did not see the GPU on the process list, but it does make a difference.

Oh, man!
...And I must admit that I had even looked at that topic!
Sorry.
