Solution: Go to the directory where Chrome stores your data (on Windows: "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default") and remove the folder "File System". This won't make matters worse: the data in this folder is already corrupted. Removing the directory will allow Chrome to create it again and use it correctly.
the solution - if your issue - is for chrome/iron installed (not portable)
in your case must find the "file system" in your portable folder and try it
And one more thing, to this day (and I've had Iron for many years), I still cannot set Iron as my default browser - I click on it in the browser settings, but it never sets.
For now, I'm going to try and reinstall an older version and hopefully someone will figure this out (I really appreciate all who make this browser happen, it is truly my favorite browser!). Thanks!
P.S. Tried installing older versions, and it still won't save my start page, and it keeps reinstalling Skype and Adobe extensions every time I open the browser. Could really use some help on this issue before it crashes and I lose everything.
