New Iron-Version: 58.0.3050.0 Stable for Windows

We released the new Iron 58 today, which contains all features and updates known from Chromium 58. The current version is 58.0.3050.0.

dear @srware,

1. could you make Iron remember history forever, or at least 1-2 years and not 3 months like chrome/chromium does?
2. could you have a try at applying this patch that enables an 'open' button for download dialog? http://browser.taokaizen.com/download/patch.txt

I have been using Iron for years and think it is the best browser out there. Thank you.

If I could make a suggestion. When updating to a new version I have found that Iron resets some settings back to default. This occurs with cookie and the password & forms settings under advanced settings. Could you please preserve the settings rather than resetting them to default for future updates?

Thanks for the new update, I just have some observations:

I have two Windows 10 partitions, on both I could not set to default in the previous version, as others mentioned above, until I upgraded to the latest Creators update (on one partition I was able to simply upgrade, which fixed the problem, on the other I had to do a fresh reinstall of Windows to fix things).

Having said that, even though I was able to set Iron to default, I have two questions:

1-It was already set to default, why should the update ask this question again?

2-This 58 update created a duplicate Chromium entry under choosing an application, the second is the wrong one, the first worked.

In the past I solved problems with Iron updates by first uninstalling Iron before installing the update, this usually fixed most issues, though it sometimes lost my personal settings. I forgot to do it this time. Perhaps we should do this every time?

The update did not reset my cookie settings under advanced settings, as others mention.
In all this I suspect some kind of Windows 10 issue compatibility issue with Iron, somehow.

After installing the 3050, I now get the following message when attempting to run Iron:

Your profile can not be used because it is from a newer version of Iron.

Some features may be unavailable. Please specify a different profile
directory or use a newer version of Iron.

[checkbox] Send feedback to help us fix this issue.

Also it fails to load my previously open tabs, which is has been set to do for months.

Please advise. What in the world happened this update?

Doesn't seem very "stable" to me... though it may have something to do with the updater switching me from the 32-bit version to the 64-bit. Also, the Iron updater extension is gone from the browser. I don't see anything in the upper right anymore.

Why iron is not running in background? Even after enabling notification from websties and enabling "Push Notifications" via "chrome://flags" iron icon in the taskbar isn't showing. All the process are closing upon exiting Iron.

Good morning. The latest version I can use is 56 because of the error message "" the connection is not private "". I've tested ALL suggested solutions on the internet, without success. I do not know what to do. Any of you, surely more experienced than me, could help me please ???

Windows smart screen blocks this from installing. I must shut off windows smart screen, install Iron, and then turn windows smart screen back on again. Perhaps when you do an update to Iron you could register Iron with windows smart screen.
