Iron Config & Backup Tool
Re: Iron Config & Backup Tool
Got it now, thanks!
Re: Iron Config & Backup Tool
This problem remains in the version of this tool that ships with v49.Hotcakes wrote:Unfortunately I have still not been successful using this tool to try to get Win10 to register it as default browser. Using this tool, it launches Iron (v47) as Admin but when I go to the Settings to click the 'make Iron default' button, the button does not appear and instead there is text saying Iron is already registered as default browser. This ONLY happens when Iron is started as Admin (otherwise the expected 'make Iron default' button appears) and Win10 does not have an entry to select Chromium as default browser, just Edge

Same for me. Only grayed Running, but no file is created.RikkyRicardo wrote:The backup option doesn't seem to be working for me. It just says "Running..." indefinitely and no backup is saved
Any chance of explaining the Extended Privacy option in layman terms?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Could you try to copy 7za.dll to Windows-Folder? (C:\Windows)Hugo z Hor wrote:Same for me. Only grayed Running, but no file is created.RikkyRicardo wrote:The backup option doesn't seem to be working for me. It just says "Running..." indefinitely and no backup is saved

Re: Iron Config & Backup Tool
Did that, issue still there.
FWIW, I use a rather old version of Windows XP like the other user who has the issue.
Also I know the backup tool gets bundled with Iron, but a separate download link would be handy, rather than downloading and installing Iron if I need to test an updated version of the Backup tool

you have also to register the dll by ms-dos: regsvr32 "file".dll

Re: Iron Config & Backup Tool
Found a problem: tool does not backup to a folder with space in its name
Re: Iron Config & Backup Tool
Concur with Hugo. Backup Tool works perfectly in Win 10, as long as there are no blanks in the destination folder name. For example:
C:\Users\xxxxx\Desktop\APPS\INTERNET\IronBU\'filename'
Where:
"IronBU" is the destination folder for the Backup
and
'filename' is the name of the file name you have selected
Cheers.

Re: Iron Config & Backup Tool Error
This tool does not work for backup in windows 10 no matter what is done using latest version 1.31 bundled with srware iron 64 bit. This is not a protable version and has never worked. Please advise
