Cannot start Apache

Hello,
i downloaded the portable version, and i cannot start the apache server. Mysql works so far.
I am using WindowsXP, and i suspect there are missing libraries, like Mocrosoft redistributable packages.
When i manually start "Apache2\bin\httpd.exe", windows sais that Programm configuration is wrong. I know this happens when a library like Microsoft Redistributable Packages are not installed on windows.
Can you provide a link what is needed to launch the servers on windows XP please?
