New Iron-Version: 49.0.2600.0 Stable for Windows

I agree with the negative remarks regarding the Bing searchbar.
Even though we have to use Windows, enough is enough!

And I can say more. Please make empty/new tab 100% empty. Now when you look into page source there are several scripts. This is also offensive and it upsets people.

We will make the search field optinal. However, all scripts are running local. There is no data transmitted or any servers contacted - unless you use the search by hand.mleanixero wrote:And I can say more. Please make empty/new tab 100% empty. Thank you very much. It should be optional and the empty TAB should be empty without any HTML tag. Just empty, free from any copyright, style, head snd so on.SRWare wrote: We will make the search field optinal. However, all scripts are running local. I have some other functionality proposal:

1. Random useragent
2. Protection against canvas fingerprinting. Some websites tries to do it.

Re: New Iron-Version: 49.0.2600.0 Stable for Windows
Perhaps I did something wrong but I installed the latest build from the download page and when I check About Iron it shows as being 44.0.2350.0 and not V.49. Can anyone help me with this?

See here:selukwe wrote:Why does this browser again refresh all tabs anew when activated? This has been much criticized and finally sorted out in one of the previous releases but now it is back again. What a nuisance! Is there a way how this can be user-disabled?

The switch is now accessible and appears to work as expected when set to Disabled.

Very nice implementation of Chrome. Using Iron 64 as my default browser; amazing fast and stable. Thanks, SR!
Re: New Iron-Version: 49.0.2600.0 Stable for Windows
How would one best 'upgrade' from Iron 32 to Iron 64? Is it a simple matter of installing the 64 bit over the 32 bit version?
Please note that I would like to preserve my current settings (bookmarks, extensions, etc...)
Thanks for your help.

Installing over the old version is no problem. You will not loose your bookmarks, but maybe have to reinstall extensions.Papillon wrote:How would one best 'upgrade' from Iron 32 to Iron 64? Is it a simple matter of installing the 64 bit over the 32 bit version?
