Unexpected crashing of browser windows with unability to use even extensions. Just getting gray background on every tab page. It runs ok just after reboot.

I've noted the new search area. A good choice but with 2 limitations:

1) after written the word or sentence to try the enter button doesn't work;
2) it would be convenient the possibility to change the search engine.

I sort of fixed the problem with Bing. Just went back to Version 48.0.2550.0 (64-bit). I will try a new build that fixes this Bing issue in the future. I hope it is real soon.

You are not forced to use bing in 48.0.2250.2 via NewTab-Search. You can still search trough the omnibox!
