In Linux Mint (17.3) Xfce is not necessary to launch Srware Iron from the terminal, simply edit the start menu Launcher.
Click with right mouse button on the start menu-> edit applications-> internet-> Srware Iron. In the field "command" replace "/usr/share/iron/iron" to "./iron --ppapi-flash-path=/usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libpepflashplayer.so --ppapi-flash-version=21.0.0.213" (without the quotes, of course). Save your changes.
Then just open the start menu-> internet. Click with the right mouse button on SRWare Iron, and if you wish, send add to the desktop and the Panel.
OK! Now Srware Iron always starts with flash player loaded.

Rectificação:
In the field "command" replace: /usr/share/iron/iron
to
/usr/share/iron/./iron --ppapi-flash-path=/usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libpepflashplayer.so --ppapi-flash-version=21.0.0.213

ok your answer were really clearly. i did these. i go to plugins and i have there the choice of adode flash player. but when i try to watch youtube video, i have the same problem. i can't watch it. i listen only the sound . what can i do??

Please try an up-to-date Flash Player. 11.x is really old

did you use the latest iron 52?

Version 49.0.2600.0 since I'm on Windows XP. Upon update of flash player plugin to version 23.0.0.162, it is it is no longer able to load flash player ppapi plugin when required!

I have the same issue on all websites using Flashplayer.
Error message: "Couldn't load plugin."

after updating portable windows version 52 to 53, flash stopped working. "couldn't load plugin" message is displayed where flash should be.
