SRW Iron Portable & Encryption

Does anyone know if the portable edition of Iron does support encryption of cookies?
I saw on the ungoogle Chromium project that they can only make it portable if it is launched with --disable-encryption-win at launch.
I dont want my cookies and password unencrypted so I just want to make sure, does Iron Portable default use encryption or also disables encryption on the portable edition?
