71.0.3700.0 for Linux = persistent connection to accounts.google.com

Postby rufus_spb » Fri Feb 01, 2019 4:42 am

Hello

Just tested new 71.0.3700.0 Stable for Linux

And as soon as I start my Iron, it made connection to accounts.google.com
It is not possible to remove or to disable.

I think browser will store one credentials somewhere and will log-in even if one doesn't need it in order to spy or something else.
Be careful with it. They may send everything they need through this connection.

The only way is to redirect account.google.com to 127.0.0.1 in /etc/hosts
But this disables to use google mail.

So, I am still use previous 66 version

Thank you

The same issue is also in the Windows version of the browser. And it tries to connect to it throughout the session.
