Ghostery and Iron

Post by rikedoid »

Has anyone encountered a variance between what Ghostery blocks in Iron vs what it blocks in other browsers?
An example: In SeaMonkey GoogleAdSense is blocked by Ghostery, in Iron it is not.
All software are the latest versions and it happens in Windows and Linux.
Sorry if double post, would not seemingly accept the first.

Because it's still an issue on Chromium, but they had enough time to make it work right on Gecko.
Evidon says it on its blogs.
It will be a long while before it does begin to work right.

OK, I'll just observe the development/performance/comparison.
Thanks for the info!

What happens with me sometimes is when I first startup SRware Iron 16.0.950.0 (Developer Build 115000 Windows) to my homepage which is my speedDial I get a blannk white page that sticks at loading and won't open. When I close out SRW and start up right away it opens right away to my speedDial page.

Personally, I would uninstall Ghostery in favour of ScriptNo. I always found that Ghostery slowed Iron's page loading a bit. You can check individual scripts on the page with WOT in ScriptNo, even if you don't use WOT.

Did you try this??
Go to the "default" download directory in Iron which in my case is (full path) "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents" and create a "new" folder called "Downloads". Once this is done, you can change the download path in the Iron options section to whatever you prefer!
