Any way to disable checking the certificate revocation list?

Post by novice »

I tried the instructions on these sites:
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/is ... l?id=41890
https://productforums.google.com/forum/ ... 1oBcs6D0C0
but it seems Iron is different enough from Chrome that I cannot use the info there. I'm using Iron 49.2600.0 on XP Pro, so the browser is using the awful CA Security Certificates Store embedded in the OS, which means I'm blockaded from at least a quarter of the sites on the internet. Currently Iron is the only browser I have managed to get H.264 and Flash working on, but since most sites for movies/TV shows are on the 'blockade' list, it is not doing me much good. I need a way to either stop Iron from using the certificates store altogether, or at least disable checking the certificate revocation list. Failing that, I will have to find a hacker to do up an MITMproxy /w bogus uber-certificate. Hopefully you can offer better options?
