Did a couple of benchmarks in Peacekeeper and SunSpider using:
- Iron v7.0.520.0 Stable
- Chrome v7.0.517.41 Stable
Peacekeeper: (http://service.futuremark.com/peacekeeper)
Overall summary:
Iron detailed:
Chrome detailed:
SunSpider: (http://www2.webkit.org/perf/sunspider-0 ... pider.html)
Conclusion:
Eventhough they run on (exactly) the same Chromium engine, SRWare's Iron seems to be faster. Good job SRWare, keep it up like this and try to get a hold of that number 1 position!
Note: These tests have NOT been done by professionals, but on the same hardware. (i5-450M @ 2.4GHz, 4GB DDR3, 500GB 7.200RPM, Radeon HD5870 1GB DDR5)
[Benchmark] Iron vs Chrome vs "the rest"
Re: [Benchmark] Iron v7.0.520.0 VS Chrome v7.0.517.41
Thanks!
Always enjoy seeing these type of threads. Could you please always include in your tests the latest versions of IE, Firefox and Opera. Thanks Again.

Re: [Benchmark] Iron v7.0.520.0 VS Chrome v7.0.517.41
Yeah indeed, I am sometimes wondering what makes me stick with Firefox haha. Soon I will test the latest Firefox beta release.
If there's anyone else that wants to see an untested browser tested, ring a bell!

Re: [Benchmark] Iron v7.0.520.0 VS Chrome v7.0.517.41
Can you tray with K-Meleon-NX-1.9.1.12. The fast NX No-chrome concept is used here, and you can download it fron here:
http://drop.io/eichhein/asset/km-nx-19112-zip
The profiles folder will be created inside the K-Meleon main folder, and should leave profiles from other versions untouched.
Note : This version works only if you have the files mfc71u.dll, msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll in your system or in your K-Meleon folder. If you need these files, look for them in the internet.
Regards.

Here is a little other benchmark made with the latest versions of the browsers I use. Looks like Firefox are still working on their speed in v4, and Iron is tied with Opera 11 alpha 1029.
Specs:
- Phenom 2 X4 Mobile N930
- Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GiB VRAM with Catalyst 10.8
