you could go in the bookmarks manager and export your bookmarks like html
then you could save them in your google docs ... and so youl'll have always your bookmarks

well - of course thats the ugly version

- but as soon as i modify a bookmark, or delete one, or add one, i would have to do this procedure again.... thats why i want to use the sync of iron - i mean, thats what it is for, to do it automatically, no ;)

nothing to do
they removed the feature

https://docs.google.com/support/bin/ans ... er=1185251

In the previous version of the Documents List, if you were using the syncing feature in Chrome, your bookmarks were saved in a folder in the Documents List. With the newer version of the Documents List, we're no longer offering this feature; however, your settings in Chrome continue to sync across computers.

If you'd like to have a list of your bookmarks stored in Google Docs, you can export your bookmarks from Chrome and upload the file to your Documents List.
