Wanted to update this just in case anyone else is experiencing this same problem.
The SRWare Iron browser updater only works with the portable version. It does not work with the regular version.
Also if you are using the portable version you will want to go into the
settings - Chrome Extensions and enable
Developer Mode to be able to access the chrome store and it to recognize you have a chrome compatible browser.

Iron 116 is available now, but
Iron Updater (version 1.0.0.0) still says
Installed Version 115.0.0.0
Latest Version 115.0.0.0
with
SRWare Iron
Version: 115.0.5850.0（Official Build） （64 bit）
(not Portable)

Now Iron 116 has been installed, but
Iron Updater (version 1.0.0.0) says
Installed Version 116.0.0.0
Latest Version 115.0.0.0
You're up to date!
with
