The updater seems to have an issue with Version 55.0.2900.1 (64-bit). I went to chrome://extensions/ page, clicked the Load unpacked extension button and select the (7zip-unpacked *.crx) folder for the extension to install it. Then I get the following error:

Fehler beim Laden der Erweiterung aus: D:\iron-updater\iron-updater
Cannot load extension with file or directory name _metadata. Filenames starting with "_" are reserved for use by the system.

But the extension is shown as installed.

The same happens using your "WebRTC Block Extension".

Please install it from the Webstore or the CRX

The updater only supports checking for updates at statup or every hour. Connecting on a regular basis is not something a privacy sensitive browser should do in my opinion.
I would like to request an additional option to check for updates only once a week or after a user defined number of days.
Thanks

Thank you so much for this long awaited feature! If it wasn't the fact that I loose all my installed extensions and browser settings every time I update, I'd be totally happy with using Iron. I reported that problem a few times without any response :(

Same here. Just updated from 57 to 58 and all Extensions, theme and settings are gone. Any Update on this?
