Neues Iron-Portable Feature

Post by SRWare »

@volvox:

I have two shortcuts for IronPortable:
1: --incognito -start-maximized
2: --enable-user-scripts (I write post now in this mode)

When I create IronPortable.ini with '--incognito' - I have Iron Incognito ALWAYS.
How can I start Iron without '--incognito'? Must I edit *.ini everytime? Another simple way?

You can use the old way with the shortcut too!

You can write in the IronPortable.ini:
--enable-user-scripts --start-maximizied

You can now a Shortcut with the parameter --incognito

If you start the ironportable.exe, you habe Userscripts and Maximized
If you start the shortcut, you habe Userscripts, Maximized AND the incognito Mode!

Thanks, all are working, as you say.

to Admin, there is a bug of portable?
I'd like to make IronPortable ( in 'Incognito' mode) as Defaul browser.
I write in ini-file: --incognito
but when I press on any link - I have 'blue'-face
and Iron creates new profile in 'non-portable' folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\<...>\Local Settings\Application Data\Chromium\User Data\Default
My Iron's folder is S:\

I try any IronPortable version old and new - I have one result.

P.S.
You can write german - I read

I think it's NOT possible to set the portable version as default browser right now.
Because when you do so, the iron.exe will be directly opened (and not the IronPortable.exe! That's the mistake.), and will create your mentioned profile.

But because only the IronPortable.exe uses the IronPortable.ini, the properties (incognito) will be only set for the IronPortable.exe.

----
