Re: Ausnahme in adblock ?

Re: Ausnahme in adblock ?

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
Privoxy seems not appropriate, it is - just a very little bit - slow. There are hosts files available. Taking the fitting hosts file or combining smaller modules make Iron as fast as with this adblock.ini . But this is a special effort requiring admin rights. All adblock-extensions for all browsers ...

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
bulek, again a few tests give me this impression: Adthwart with fanboy's list alone subscribed ( https://secure.fanboy.co.nz/fanboy-adblock.txt ) is slower than fanboy's adblock.ini, also + this adblock.ini its slower. Privoxy (working with all browsers) alone ist nearly as fast as this adblock.ini ...

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
Scream81, dont't know why, but it works. If there is (sometimes) no blank behind the beginning #, it won't work - so better adding there always a blank. And replacing * by nothing makes the renamed urlfilter.ini work like the original adblock.ini. Its my quick and dirty workaround carrying on using ...

Re: Sammelthread Iron-Adblocker

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
The built in adblock.ini and your list both do a lot better job in Iron for me than the Chrome extensions and the list(s) it requires. You don't have to use the lists that are turned on in the extension by default. I have unsubscribed them and subscribed to fanboy's lists. The filtering therefore w...

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
My simple workaround via wsh (windows script host) Windows XP: First save urlfilter.ini at your place (here assumed E:/IronPortable/Iron/ ) on harddisc. Save this code as file *.js (perhaps E:/IronPortable/Iron/wsh_fanboy.js) and start it via 'open with'->Microsoft (R) Windows Based Script Host: fso...

Re: adblock.ini on fanboy.co.nz EOL
Also replacing # via editor by #[blank] is a good idea.
