Saw on Slashdot that Chrome's going to stop....
...support for XP OS in April. I suppose that means Iron will no longer offer updates for XP users either. That would be a sad day indeed for me.

Works nice; now my videos use HTML5 instead of flash player (that's a good thing). Hope Flash player will eventually die.

To get the plug-in, you can try to do the steps that I posted below.

Re: Flash player ????
You need to go to Adobe's Flashplayer site and choose need flash player for a different computer, then choose your OS (step 1) and your browser (step 2). It will then install the PPAPI plugin. You may want to deselect the McAfee security scan option.

You use to be able to modify the UA.ini to spoof your browser but they had disabled this feature a while back. You can try to do what these guys did to get to a particular site; believe they used user agent, but I never have used it (or needed to). :) http://www.srware.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t...

Yeah; mine says gpu acceleration is disabled and blacklisted. Still, pages and video playback appears quick and spiffy.Azrael5 wrote:lucas wrote:Works like a charm on 32-bit XP. Thanks!
Hardware (GPU) acceleration works!? See chrome:gpu page.

Don't see the original video link for twitter so played one of the videos in that thread's reply. Yes; I am sure video plays fine with this new version.

Twitter video plays fine for me. Make sure you have the latest PPAPI install from Adobe. Again, thanks for the continued Iron updates.

Re: Why hasn't anyone come up with an HTML5....
Looks like someone has created an HTML5 wrapper for Flash content. Ran across the Shumway plugin for Firefox. Hopefully someone will do this for Chrome and their variants as well.
