Re: Installed 16.0.950.0 on XP - doesn't work
I recently had problems like this too. Haven't solved them yet but it's something to do with the profiles I think but then deleting the profile and letting Iron start a new one didn't help so I dunno. For me, this problem happened when upgrading Iron, or both Iron and Chromium are installed. Uninsta...

Re: New Iron-Version: 16.0.950.0 Stable for Windows
Is Iron the only browser which causes such a problem in your installation ? Does the same occur with Google Chrome, for example ? The graphics driver I'd not think to be an issue since one of these problems happens in a VM. The Win 7 native install, I tried disabling webgl, same thing. I finally re...

That makes no difference, even if I delete the Chromium folder with all user data in it. I have no idea what the problem is, it's almost like the renderer isn't being allowed to run somehow, or isn't being called at all.

Re: New Iron-Version: 16.0.950.0 Stable for Windows
Big problems here!
I update from Iron 14 to 16 with the installer and every tab crashes. New tab page, Preferences, bookmarks manager, about:EVERYTHING crashes. This is on Windows XP sp3. I know MS hates XP but Google too??
Any help would be great. Thank you.

Re: Ad blocking via .ini or extension?
Adblock Plus's experimental build blocks Adblock Plus experimental (and stable too) fails (many ads are not blocked, they are hidden only) where adblock.ini don't. ...and from adblock plus web page: "The following lists issues known to affect Adblock Plus for Google Chrome. If your problem isn't li...

Re: Ad blocking via .ini or extension?
more completely and simple I read often on here that "it's more complete" but nobody explains why. Adblock Plus's experimental build blocks the actual http requests within a page (I thought the stable version does this too?), it blocks ads in videos (including Youtube). It can block html elements, ...

Re: Ad blocking via .ini or extension?
Thanks for the response. I've been trying out Adblock Plus Beta for a couple weeks now and sometimes ads 'slip through'. Apparently the experimental version and Experimental Extension APIs prevents that.

Ad blocking via .ini or extension?
What's the advantage of using one vs the other? Other than the obvious of the extension auto updating. Is one method better than the other in terms of effectiveness? Does the .ini start its own process like Adblock Plus?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: How to pin sites on new tab page?
Hey I never even noticed there's no pin sign anymore! I've got a computer running a Chromium snapshot from a few days ago and tabs are pinned on there. Does Iron 15 have the new bookmark page? That can make up for lack of pins in the most recent area of the new tab page.

Re: How to pin sites on new tab page?
Type the full url address into the address bar & press enter. You must type it, not cut & paste. Then when you open the new tab page again, you'll see the site you just entered and you can pin it. I think you can also do this by editing the preferences file in your profile folder too.
