Re: New Iron-Version: 14.0.850.0 Stable for Windows

Yes I agree, after using it for a while now it does seem a bit slow compared with the last version. HTTPS sites are slow to load too. Reverting to last version would probably be a bad idea though considering the security fixes which have been applied since ... so I guess we are in limbo until the ne...

Re: New Iron-Version: 14.0.850.0 Stable for Windows

On average (I have not watched closely how often) I would say every couple of month, sometimes quicker. SRWare has not got the programming team the size of google to keep up with every version that the chromium developers churn out. And then he has to strip out all the google privacy invading featur...

Re: New Iron-Version: 14.0.850.0 Stable for Windows

@ Gabigab - Grab the new version and install it. Simple as that. It overwrites the previous files. There is no auto-update feature as there is in googles chrome, but each version of iron is taken from development versions of chrome which are ahead of the google chrome stable versions. @ SRWare - If ...

Re: New Iron-Version: 14.0.850.0 Stable for Windows

Thank you for the update SRWare.

I think I will not be using the Native Client though - Sounds like more ways to weaken Chromium and exploiting users to me especially at such an early stage. Hope it does not become fully integrated.

Re: New Iron-Version: 13.0.800.1 Stable for Windows

New update, Google Chrome v14.0.835. 186 Stable. Changes: > This release includes an update to Flash Player that addresses a zero-day vulnerability. I found out that Chrome's integrated flash is much more secure (it runs in low integrity level) than "external" NPSWF32.dll (it runs in high/medium in...

Re: New Iron-Version: 13.0.800.1 Stable for Windows

Hi SRWare, Thank you for the updates, couple of questions ... 1. Did the .1 update include any fixes to the Certificate Authority issues in the news recently? I dont know if Iron uses the certificates which are accessed via windows Internet Options, or whether it stores its own copies somewhere else...

Re: No Scroogle default?

Theres always Startpage as an alternative Privacy respecting setup - I found Scroogle occasionally gets foiled by google changing the way things work sometimes putting Scroogle out of action for a few days. Homepage .... https://www.startpage.com/power-search.html From there click on About Startpage...

Re: Looking for non-Apps versions

Yeah I have requested this feature removed before too, its like a next gen mobile phone preloaded with loads of third party crap just waiting for an unfortunate click. Doesn't quite fit in with my idea of what Iron is about at all.

Any news on the cookie prompt being returned? I have ditched Opera, didn't like it, and you probably know which browser I'm logged in with anyway... Another member, Oaken has also requested the prompt. No. Try going to http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?hl=en&tid=1d832caaa7f7...
