The same persistent connection to accounts.google.com I am staying with 66.0.3450 Many who use Iron do so to reduce the amount of info sent to google. Seems counter productive to use Iron to connect to a google account. Maybe genuine Chrome will better meet your "evil company" surfing nee...

That. Launch iron using the shortcut created by the config & backup tool and then whatsapp web should work. Solved my issue.

You need to create a shortcut to launch iron with that user agent string each time you wish to use whatsapp web. The tool does not change the user agent string permanently.

It is not chrome updater that you use, it is the config_backup tool. On the menu select user agent.

The issue with displaying pdf files inside iron seems to be related to the NewTabWithoutSearch replacement resources.pak

If you are using the newtabwithoutsearch function, reverting to the resources.pak that is installed by default fixes the pdf display issue.

The last update broke PDF support as well. That was fixed quickly. I hope the same occurs for this new release.
