Re: Chromium v86+ breaks Sandboxie

I didn't see that behavior. On my system under Sandboxie, all of the extensions spit out errors and failed to load and Iron would not load any websites. Iron v86 run outside of the sandbox seemed to operate normally.

Chromium v86+ breaks Sandboxie

If you update to the current version of Iron and prefer to run it in a sandbox environment under Sandboxie you will quickly learn that Sb is not at all happy with this new version. In fact it is not an Iron problem but a Sandboxie problem affecting google chrome and Chromium Edge as well. I spent th...

Re: Exploitable bug in Chromium

We know have an active exploit in Windows that is being used in conjunction with the bug in Chrome to attack windows PC. It has become more important now to get the bug in Chromium patched so that it cannot be used to launch an attack against Windows. Windows probably won't get fixed until next mont...

Feb 25 2020 - Zero Day vulnerability in Chrome

A zero day vulnerability has been patched and Google is advising all Chrome users to update immediately. This vulnerability is being exploited in the wild, they say. When will an update for Iron be made available? Iron is not secure until this bug is squashed. https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2020/0...

Re: New Iron-Version: 75.0.3900.0 Stable for Windows

We're all in the same boat. I'm surprised that Google allowed the code to make blocking ads relatively easy to remain in Chromium for so long. It is inevitable that the free ride was going to end someday. Relying on Google to allow the taming of its "user spy-centric" browser was good while it laste...

Re: Won't save settings - Version 72.0.3750.0

The path and the directory in the above advise is wrong. You are looking for the System Profile directory in C:\Users\--------\AppData\Local\Chromium\User Data\ System Profile Don't know if deleting this directory fixes anything but that's where it is. As for not being able to set iron as the defaul...

Re: New Iron-Version: 75.0.3900.0 Stable for Windows

who else is having problems with ads in this version of iron? Google has previously announced that they intend to rework the Chrome API(s) and this will have a significant impact on the ability of extensions to block ads. Maybe Google has started to change things... Get ready. SRWare may not be abl...
