Re: 111.0.5650.0 64 bit and Netflix
Sounds bad. Nah. Not really. They'll tell you Chrome is supported. Fair comment; it's the most widely-used browser in the world. So; if Chrome is supported, then that means Chromium is supported; Chrome is but a 'clone' of the Chromium Project's source code.....it is, after all, where Google obtain...

Re: 111.0.5650.0 64 bit and Netflix
Strange. I'm using the current Iron v111 for Linux, and I'm in the middle of watching NetFlix as I type this. Iron has often been more trouble-free for a lot of things than many other Chromium-based 'clones', in MY experience. Perhaps I'm just lucky.....or perhaps this is a Windows thing. Who knows?...

Re: Bunch of crap
Don't understand your issues. For me, Iron on Linux has always been rock-solid and one of the most stable Chrome 'lookalikes' you can get. Never had any problems with it...

Re: New Iron-Version: 96.0.46664.45 Stable for Linux
@ SRWare :- Just thought you might like to know that the version in Menu->About Iron is actually being reported as 96.0.4664.45 ! Somebody forgot to edit this one minor detail.....  (At least it proves it's based on a very recent build of Chromium. Hell, it's such a darned good browser, I...

Re: WebGL issue
Take a look here:- http://madebyevan.com/webgl-water/ Does the page load fully, and show the white ball bobbing about in the swimming pool? Can you move the ball around, and can you move the image itself to different viewing angles? Can you toggle gravity on/off using the "g" key? If you can do the ...

Re: New Iron-Version: 90.0.4600.0 Stable for Linux
Something very, very wrong with the 64-bit Iron 90 .deb. It won't install, it won't extract, you can't do anything with it.
Also; what's with the tarballs now? It just appears to be a giant shell-script...???? Again, I can't do anything with it....

Re: NetFlix is 'problematic' in newest versions of Iron...
I need to update this, and at the same time give the Iron team a well-deserved apology! Much of my annoyance in the above posts stemmed from my not understanding how the Chromium Project (aka Google's 'Chrome' R & D dept) had re-jigged the Widevine stuff to work in more recent versions. Once I'd fig...

Re: Cannot log into Google acc
Yes but I still have grayed out icon: hgdcb.png This will stay as some people use the browser with offline-multi profiles. Mm-hm. The Puppy Linux community does. I re-pack these into a 'portable' format for Puppy, which permits 'sharing' a single 'portable-Iron' - complete with self-contained profi...

Re: NetFlix is 'problematic' in newest versions of Iron...
@ddv:- The sad fact of the matter is that the Iron team don't give a rat's ass about this issue because it's of no consequence to them. Simple as that. For a lot of people, however, this is enough of a deal-breaker that SRWare will find take-up of the browser slowing down eventually, if they can't b...
