Copy your profile-files from
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Lokale Einstellungen\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data
to
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Lokale Einstellungen\Application Data\Chromium\User Data\Default

Then it should work.

OK, computer dummy here. I really like Chrome, but do not like the idea of someone monitoring my interwebz activities. So Iron is a blessing!

But can anyone instruct me, in simple easy to understand terms, how to move my bookmarks from Chrome to Iron?

2) :?:
But my question for SRWare is .... How to join more profiles into one? .... for example two Irons Portable and one Google Chrome. In each of them are some passwords, cookies, history, bookmarks, site preferences, and more. .... How can be done without losing parts of my profiles in more browsers?

Folks,

I'm in the United States. Today, I downloaded Iron and I love it. I was able to import all of my settings, bookmarks, etc using the instructions in this thread. However, I am experiencing a minor problem. When I open Iron in Windows Vista, I receive the following 'error' message in a small window.

"Your profile can not be used because it is from a newer version of Iron."

"Some features may be unavailable. Please specify a different profile directory or use a newer version of Iron."

I close this window and use Iron normally. I can't see any difference in functionality between it and Google Chrome. Has anyone else faced this?

Thank you.

I opened up both Chrome and Iron... In Chrome I copied all of my bookmarks (I have them sorted into folders) and pasted them into Iron. I was actually amazed it worked like that.
