"http:// " prefix

Post by milpop »

Hello. I like SRWare Iron very much, and I switched to it completely, uninstalling Google Chrome.
However, there are two things that I don't like and I hope there is a setting to change it:

1. There is no prefix in the address bar (it shows www.srware.net instead of http://www.srware.net)

2. When I select an adress from the adress bar and drop it on the bookmarks bar it creates bookmark, but that bookmark is without a name. In Chrome it gets a default name and it was very nice.

Please can you tell me how could I change the SRWare behaviour on this problems?

Chromium dropped the http prefix recently. That's not Iron specific then but also applies to Chrome and other forks.

Yes. The example is from the latest Google Chrome build (5.0.375.70). As you can see, the http:// prefix is stil there. Maybe they intend to remove it in the future, but it is not removed yet. However, that is not so important.
Is it very difficult to make showing this prefix user selectable in the options menu?
