Hello! Can you tell me how can i fix iron error "Class not registered" in windows 8 64 bit! I mention that the error appears when i launch iron from the shortcut taskbar (i press mouse left click); when i press right click - new iron window, everything is working just fine! What should i do?

Thanks,

For SRIron (Version 28.0.1550.0 (210000)) it seems to work with this:

REG DELETE HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\chromium
REG DELETE HKLM\Software\Classes\chromium
REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Classes\chromium
REG DELETE HKLM\Software\Classes\chromiumHTM\open\command\DelegateExecute
REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Classes\chromiumHTM\open\command\DelegateExecute

The last 3 lines gave a "not found" for me, but it works now (until the next update ;) )

I have THE SAME PROBLEM with Windows 8 x64:

1. I cannot open HTM or HTML downloaded on my desktop files because of error "class not registered"
2. I cannot open hyper links in Skype or Mozilla Thunderbird. When I click on URL, NOTHING was happen.
The setting of default browser and associated file types NOT HELP me.

All other browsers working and have no problems with classes or file association, only your browser (and google chrome) have these problems.
I not want to change this browser, I want to USE it!

What is you answer and what solution you will offer all you users? Because problem is very serious!!!

Try these in cmd (administrator mode)

Code: Select all

REG DELETE HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\chromiumHTM\shell\open\command\DelegateExecute
REG DELETE HKLM\Software\Classes\chromiumHTM\shell\open\command\DelegateExecute
REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Classes\chromiumHTM\shell\open\command\DelegateExecute

maybe it will working.
