It' s the same breaking crackling sound with html on the web address you supplied.

but does not happen in iron 23....as all noted earlier.

Just out of interest...iron 24 works fine on my desktop pc with HTML 5 video sound.

It's just with the laptop that problems apper.

But like i say, there were no laptops problems in iron 23 etc.........
only when trying the latest iron 24 etc did HTML 5 sound problems appear.

and as mentioned earlier i have exhaustively tested this on the laptop. It's a bug in iron

Vince.

Guys, really don-t know what problems you have with Iron 24, but at me all works fine. Since i start using it from version 23, i didn`t have any problems.

@vincePOP
if still happens:
try also update our flash plugin
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/ ... layer.html

the last is 11.6.602.168
yours is 11.5.502.146

p.s. it's eventually a chromium bug (not a specific iron one)

hello

will try all your ideas in this order

1) First i will try to update to the latest flash you recommended (then try HTML 5 vids again)
(if this fails go onto 2)

2) In addition to 1) above, i Will also try to disbale the flash plugin then try HTML 5 vids again
(if this fails got to 3)

3) In addition to 1) and 2) above, i will also try to switch parameter you described on the launcher.

thanks

Vince.

hello

ok, i tried the 3 steps mentioned in my last post in that order

1) updating to the very latest flash made no difference (html 5 vids still bad sound in chrome 24 etc)

2) i then tried the switch you mentioned on the shortcut in addition to 1) above.

3) This audio buffer seemed to almost completely solve the bad HTML 5 sound. Almost.

4) I extended the buffer to 16384 which seems to all but have cured the bad HTML 5 audio.

I am not sure what the buffer digits are referring to ...but it seems to be samples...16384 samples or 512 or whatever
or could it be Bytes? or Kylobytes or megabytes of ram?

Now my next problem, don't think it's related to the stuff above...is that IRON simply wont
start up. It starts an iron process but nothing else. No browser appears.

the only way around this is if i start a different web browser first....leave it running then
try to start iron. Iron then seems to start.

what could that be?

but many thanks indeed for the Audio help. It's important to me because
soon i get 200 dollar headphones and did not want to use them on a crackling
laptop.

so thanks very very much indeed
