Downloaded the iron64.deb and when I tried to install it the program hangs on the 'Running' screen and does not complete the installation.

Hi rhossack,

Try sudo dpkg -i /where/the .deb is/, it's probably a dependency problem that you can't see through your GUI installer.

Ok nice, dpkg -i is allways more efficient to see what's going on.. ;)

SRWARE, do you planning to deploy .deb packages and set up repository on launchpad?

Iron Browser, which I personally like, won't install in Scientific Linux 6.3 (RH 6.3)....the rpm needs to be check....it's missing some libz dependencies. Can you work on this? I can try to build it myself if you can link me to the srcrpm. Please visit my forum at scientificlinxuxforum.org and check the Iron Browser thread under "Anything Goes".

thanks!

Hi. Last month I discovered Iron was available for Linux. I've never been a fan of Chrome or Chromium due to a great dislike for Google's practices and policies. Thanks for making this browser, and especially for supporting Linux. (I run the 32bit deb package.) I hope you (SRWare Iron) are around for a long time.

Thanks again.
