Dear forum,
I am receiving numerous messages that I do not have Flash installed for Iron. Can someone provide instructions for installing Flash?
Also, I installed the adblock INI file, and am still seeing a lot of ads. Is this normal?
Thank you!
Flash, adblock, etc.
Re: Flash, adblock, etc.
What adblock.ini does is to block loading images, flash, javascript(.js) or html documents by URL.
If I write "googlead" in adblock.ini, then Iron blocks every URL which contains "googlead" in it.
Here's an example. This is part of my adblock.ini:
Obviously this is not a convenient UI, and that is why Iron has new extension and userscript feature.
Now you can use ad-blocking scripts and extensions just like Firefox does. Try googling, it is easy to figure out how to do it.

.. and so on. You can edit adblock.ini with editor.(like notepad) You need to run editor on admin account.# Iron Adblock list

Re: Flash, adblock, etc.
i remember having some problems with flash when i first started using iron and i think everything was solved after downloading and installing the corect version from adobe. iirc you need to have both versions if you also use internet explorer.
