LastPass frightening warning!

When I try to install LastPass I get the following error:

This extension can access:
All data on your computer and the websites you visit

Does anyone know what's going on here?

That warning shows up for almost all extensions; it turns out it needs that level of privilege in order to do anything at all, and you will need to determine whether you trust the author of the extension enough.
