Create a iron user profile leads to ... Google !!!???

Hi,

I clicked on the user button "Title bar / on the right", to try the "Iron User" functionality.
Iron seems to ask me to authenticate with a google account !
How can this be, since the purpose of Iron is to step back from google ?

No, only if you use the "sign in" function.

Thanks for the answer.

I don't have an Iron connection account yet.
So I click on "Connection to Iron" and then it prompts a popup :
"Connect to Chrome
Connect with a google account ..."

Does it mean that I need a google account to register to Iron ?
Seems wird, isn't it ?

No, only if you use the "sign in" function.

No offense but this should be clarified: when you sign in with iron, Google account shows up, same interface, same steps, same security questions (ex: from which city do you usually connect? etc.). What do you mean by "only" the sign in function? Since sign in go through Google Chrome account, what are the information saved by Google?

Moreover, when I use sign in with Iron, my Iron browser crashes (Version 53.0.2800.0 64-bit on Win7 ultimate).
