Where does Iron store favorites?

Hello All,

I recently had Iron go tits up on me, completely corrupted and would not open so I thought it as good a time as any to upgrade.
In attempting to upgrade Iron gave all kind of fits and although I eventually got it loaded and working I can't for the life of me figure out where the heck it hides it's bookmarks/favorites list so that I might import the existing list into the new install.

Anyone know?

Iron should store its bookmarks in:
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\
Vista, Win7: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\

The filenames are Bookmarks and Bookmarks.bak

It sounds like you have two installs of Iron, and "old install" and "new install"? If the new install is on the same machine, my guess is that it is already using that Bookmarks file. If the old install is on another machine and somewhere else, from the Bookmarks Manager, you can use Tools > Export Bookmarks to export your old bookmarks to an HTML file, and import that file on the new install with Tools > Import Bookmarks.

Ah, thank you!!

I had looked in that folder, but I had missed the two other folders in the AppData\Local labeled "Chromium" and "Chromium2". I have not been able to test the bookmark files at this time because Iron has suddenly stopped working earlier today, but I notice that one of sets of bookmark files is dated 11/23/2009 and that one should be the one I am looking for.

Both installs of Iron are on the same machine so I am puzzled why it would create a second folder and label the original as Chromium2... I guess it makes sense to someone. :)
I am going to try manually copying the bookmark file onto my laptop and check it, hopefully it is the one I have been looking for!

I believe this machine is due for a format and reinstall of windows, there are far too many issues cropping up at one time for it to just be coincidental that Iron has stopped working at the same time IE7 became corrupted.
