New Iron-Version: 42.0.2250.1 Stable for Windows
Re: New Iron-Version: 42.0.2250.1 Stable for Windows
42.0.2250.1 32bit non-portable using npapi flash, installed over 41.
Click to play for flash plugin seems to be really messed up.
Under settings/plugins/manage exceptions you used to have 3 options: allow/deny/ask. Ask would pull up a gray box that you single left clicked to enable flash. Allow/deny worked as expected.
With 42 you have allow/detect/deny. Detect seems to do exactly the same thing as allow. Deny functions sort of like ask did, but you have to right click then select run plugin from an additional menu. More clumsy and annoyin, expecially if you have to do it a lot. Ask, as a setting from installing over the previous version, will still show up, until you click it when it changes to one of the new options. Also, the site list is no longer automatically populates like it was with previous versions.

Code: Select all

Re: New Iron-Version: 42.0.2250.1 Stable for Windows
Make sure there is a comma at the end of the previous line before, e.g.:
Code: Select all
{
"apps": {
"shortcuts_version": 2
},
"webrtc": {
"multiple_routes_enabled": false
}
Re: New Iron-Version: 42.0.2250.1 Stable for Windows
P.S. If you added it to the end of the preferences file then don't forget the closing bracket:
Code: Select all
},
"translate_blocked_languages": [ "en" ],
"translate_whitelists": {
},
"zerosuggest": {
"cachedresults": ""
},
"webrtc": {
"multiple_routes_enabled": false
}
}

Re: New Iron-Version: 42.0.2250.1 Stable for Windows
Hi,
After activating synchronisation with the activate sync tool I still cannot sign in to Iron with my google account. When I use "Sign in again" it keeps on asking for my password. I enter the correct password and then it asks for it again and again.
When I start Iron using the "Start Iron to activate sync..." button from the activate sync tool I am able to login to Iron. But that will only last until I stop Iron. When I start it again from the start menu I cannot sign in anymore.
Am I doing something wrong? I tried it on 2 pc's, same problem on both. In the previous Iron version this tool and procedure worked.

Yes I did, and then closed iron, started iron again, it did not solve the problem.SRWare wrote:Did you disconnect your account via Settings?GeeWBee wrote:Hi,

Just discovered that I should not try to sign in using the sign in butten when the initial sign in has failed and the "customize and control iron" button is orange but just open the bookmark manage (chrome://bookmarks/)r. When I open the bookmark manager suddenly I am signed in and the "customize and control iron" button is not orange anymore.
